Jamie Loeb is an actor and singer who was raised in Miami, Florida. Jamie prides herself on being a chameleon, whose power as an actor lies in her versatility and ability to transition seamlessly and authentically between comedic and dramatic roles. She infuses each character with compassion, vulnerability, and empathy.

Currently earning her BFA in Acting at The Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, Jamie recently played Zoom in Alexis Scheer’s Our Dear Dead Drug Lord, where Jamie explored the complexities and darkness of girlhood by immersing herself in being 15 again. That same year, Jamie portrayed Mrs. Soames in Thornton Wilder’s Our Town.

Jamie loves pieces that provoke thought and conversation from her audience, long after they have left the theatre. Jamie hopes onlookers can identify with some part of the characters she embodies, even if doing so makes them uncomfortable. Jamie is drawn to contemporary work that challenges boundaries, particularly dark comedies and ensemble-driven plays, such as Alan Ball’s Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves, Ruby Rae Spiegel’s Dry Land, and Kimberly Belflower’s John Proctor Is the Villain.

Jamie is a “character historian,” and a Jewish-Italian, self-described “pizza bagel.” When she’s not performing, Jamie loves spending time with her family and with her Rottweiler Dutch, going to museums, taking photos of flowers, enthusiastically eating despite being a terrible cook, and playing guitar. She has a fear of bees, yet after having been stung for the first time while riding a bike, got a tattoo of a bee. Jamie no longer has the bike.
